I suggest stopping the SpeedUpMyPC program first
and see if that issue persist

To stop:
click the WINDOWs icon
forum.png

run [msconfig]

under services or startup tab, uncheck that program
close MSCONFIG

then start PC again
and open WORD

if the problem goes away, may be reconsidered if you want SpeedUpMyPC



if not, hmm.. have to think again

Thanks a lot for your reply. But its worthwhile to say that after facing such problem I wiped out all the trace of that damn software then and there. Still the problem remains and that's the problem. If you have any solution please help me.
