Opening word docs

I just installed Ms. Office HOME&STUDENT 2007,
When I open a "doc" document from the Documents MAP all documents were opened as Tiff files.
When I open a "doc" document in the WORD-program the document opens properly.

What am I doing wrong ???

Hope someone can gif me the right answer.

try right click on your file and choose Open With | Chose Program, choose Ms. Word and tick Always use the selected program to open this kind file
