![]() Can I make the bullet points in the same list a different colour? I want some to be green, others orange and red. I can't make them separate lists because then it will screw up the numbering. This is the effect I want but I had to wreck the lists to make it happen so it's not automatically-numbered any more: ![]() Office 2013/2016, Win7/10. |

You can apply the color the paragraph mark at the end of the numbere item. Here is the result (with nonprinting marks displayed):

Thanks but that doesn't seem to work for me in Word 2013.

It appears that you have changed the font of the list itself, for example by selecting the bullets and changing their color. Once you have done that, the trick I suggested won't work. You will have to recreate the bullet list from start.

Create a new bulleted style with your "cleaned up" list and then apply it to text. I'm afraid that doing so will be a manual task, though. Then apply colors to the paragraph mark as required (once again a manual task).

Just tried to do this myself and eventually gave up but found a totally different workaround for anyone also stuck.
Make your own bullets using Tab, space and any wingding character: O Maybe O Something O Like O This |

Indeed, you can insert bullet characters into the text, as opposed to using a bulleted style. Sometimes, this is the only thing that works.
