Default

More information: if a document created in Word 2016 (Mac) as in the above post is printed in Word 2011, it prints correctly. This means that the document has been saved correctly in Word 2016. So the problem lies in Word 2016 communicating with the printer after being reopened, not in creating and saving the document.

In Word 2016, in Page Setup, there is a choice between 'Page Attributes' and 'Microsoft Word'. The default is 'Page Attributes', but if 'Microsoft Word' is selected, the document is printed correctly even in Word 2016. Unfortunately, I can find no way of making that the default, so before every single printing of such a document in Word 2016 one would have to open Page Setup and change that setting.

Has anyone any experience of this problem? Or a way of locking 'Microsoft Word' in as default in Page Setup? I have now spent around 8 hours in four successive chats with MS advisors without any solution.
