Default Limiting line length for first few lines

Hy.

I'm no word Guru so I came here looking for help. I'm trying to make a template for our organization using a header that is not oriented horizontally but vertically. For that to work I would need to limit the first couple of lines of text to be shorter on the first page so it would wrap around the header. How would I go about doing that? I know it can be done (I've seen it done before) but after spending more than one hour on google searching for the answer I gave up.
