Exclamation Track Changes Automatically Accepting Changes after Closing and Re-Opening Document

Hello,

I've run into a very frustrating error that I've never experienced before. When I use "track changes", I will make all of my editing suggestions. When I finish, I save the document and close it. I do not accept any of the changes, as I like to ruminate about options in my documents. When I open the document next, all of the changes I've made via "Track Changes" are automatically all accepted, and my original work is lost.

I restarted my computer, same thing.

I've reset my word to default settings, still happens.

Please please please help. I use track changes frequently and have no idea why this has started to happen.
