We've been through all of this before. Did you actually navigate to the folder as suggested and delete files as suggested? None of what you've posted to date suggests you ever did so.
Deleting Normal.dotm is pointless, as Word recreates it upon re-starting if it's missing. If none of the normal methods of dealing with such problems, including repairing the Office installation, resolves the issues, you may need to do a fresh install of Win 10 - as previously mentioned - and all your apps. Do back up your data first, though, as a fresh install of Win 10 will erase all your files & settings.

Fair go, I did most of the suggestions, just not all. And just because I didn't list all I have done, it didn't mean I didn't do them.
eg I already have done Office installation Repair - it didn't fix problem at all. I mentioned deleting Normal.dotm, because most suggest it... and it is only temporary fix. No point in a fresh install of Win 10, because I had problems soon after buying new PC. So reinstalling would merely postpone the problem, even if it briefly fixes problem. So that leaves Temp folder, with limited success. I tried %temp%, and deleted as much as I could. But there were still many files and folders still in temp folder, which I couldn't remove because message said "You'll need to provide admininstrator permission to delete this folder". When I went to check my status in User Accounts, it said I was Administator. So unable to delete much from temp folder. Any suggestions? I then tried to print pages in 2 separate docs, which normally cause the error, but no error, for now. |

You previously said you'd done a Win 10 upgrade over Win 7. Since the problem apparently persists after buying a new PC. The problem is almost certainly due to a corrupt document and/or a third-party addin you haven't told us about.

On my previous PC, I had Win 7, and Microsoft did a forced upgrade to Win 10 without my permission.
However this is not relevant now, because when I bought my new PC with Win 10 on it, I had the problem not long after. I doubt it is a corrupt document, because I have the print error with all my documents. Surely they can't all be corrupt, especially as I can read/edit all the docs. And if corrupt, why does the print error disappear after deleting normal.dot? Re "a third-party addin" - I can't recall adding any in, not deliberately - I'm not smart enough to even know how to add in third-party addin. Do you mean "a third-party addin" to all my 100's of documents, or just one? Can we go back to Temp folder? Many files I couldn't remove because of "You'll need to provide admininstrator permission to delete this folder". When I went to check my status in User Accounts, it said I was Administrator. Any suggestions? |
