I suspect you have changed a printer setting to do more than 1 page per sheet. Do you see any printer settings when you are "printing to PDF"? Look for an option that specifies how many pages per sheet you are getting.

I don't see where this could be configured when you "Save As PDF" in Word but there are many ways to create a PDF from Word and perhaps you are printing to PDF.
