missing table of authorities

Hi everyone,
I have a problem of missing TOA section in my MS word 2010.
It's like it doesn't exist..
If I add the TOA buttons manually they're not active.
If I try reach them from the TOC dialog window - the tab isn't there..

Does anyone know what's wrong? and how can I add this option to my MS word?

This is only available if support for English (U.S.), Canadian French, or Dutch is enabled through Microsoft Office Language Settings. Has this been set?

Hey! 5 years later your post saved me! 3 days till my deadline I found out that my table of authorities hat mysteriously disappeared. As it turned out the problem was that I had erased English from my language tool bar 2 weeks ago (I write in German). Spending 2 hours in the Word official Support Files didn't help at all, but your post was all I needed! Thank you so much!
