I am using Mac OS 10.6 (yes I know it is getting a bit long in the tooth). I am using MS Word for Mac 2011. I am trying to solve what seems to be a rather complicated problem for word. I am trying to get the horizontal ruler to show. Sometimes I get it and start setting tabs, but soon it disappears. I then try to get it back, but there seems to be no direct way. I have consulted MS help site with little joy as the initial instruction is: "Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Word Options." I do not have a MS Office Button showing. When I search for one or for ruler there are no matches. Lucca |

The translation is likely to be to press the FILE button (which looks like a tab).
I, though, would suggest trying the View tab and checking the box. (I do not have a recent version of Word for the Mac.) |
