oh i just did align left and now it looks better.
Why would anyone want different spacing between words in a document - doesn't it look wrong? |

It depends on how many words you have in a line, in part. I seldom use full justification. Like you, I prefer left-aligned/ragged right. It is generally much easier to read.

Fully justified text is how most content is published - just take a look at any book published in the last century. To get that, variable spacing is required.
