![]() I can't see which file I'm editing since word keeps the filename tucked away in file properties or in save as. This is very inconvenient and frankly poor programming on micosoft's part as I have to keep checking these tabs to know which file is up. How can I get the file name always visible while editing docs? |

I am not working with a MAC so I don't know if there is a difference but, the file names of all my files are at the very top of the screen adjacent, or centered, to the QAT.

I don't see a QAT as it is described. I have a command line that pops down at the top of the screen and just the standard word operations that fill the upper third of the screen. The filename is nowhere to be found! incredible oversight on ms's part!

If you want to display the filename on Word's title bar, that has been discussed - and code provided - numerous times. A forum search would locate the relevant threads. You could also add a FILENAME field to the document header or footer.

Regardless, it's not a high-demand item and Word already comes with the required tools to produce it for those to whom it's a do-or-die issue.
