Hi,
here is my problem : very often when I type words finishing by "ent", and these are numerous in French (I'm French), I mistape and type "etn". Is there a possibility to change only these three caracters while typing (similar to automatic correction). The macro should run each time I dial "etn+ space, comma, dot", etc. Thank you |

This is called AutoCorrect and is language-specific.

Thank you Charles,
this might be a lead, however, in my case, and as my message says, the sequence etn comes at the end of some words. Fortunately, if I often type etn for ent, the rest of the word is generally correct, and I only want to replace the end of the word: mometn -> moment for instance. There is thousands of words ending with ent in French and I would like to avoid enter all these words in the Autocorrect list. It would be smarter to use some wildcard I tried *etn, but it only recognizes this exact string, treating the star as a normal character. Any clue? |

In fact, I just remember that the search/replace function of MSWord unables using of
(etn)> to find this sequence at the end of a word and to replace it by the correct ent sequence. Provided 'Use Wildcards' is checked. I'm looking for a similar macro, but working while I'm dialing text (I checked that using '(etn)>' as an entry of the autocorrect tool does not help) |
