I am so confused. I have a document that has an outline. It looks fine in Preview, but when I print it, a line appears 5 lines above where the line actually is and where it prints fine. The line is doubled and overlays other print. Can any guru help me?
The line appears at the top of page 2 when printed. It is the 2. i. line. "Report promptly to Natalie Isham, HIPAA Compliance Office, any security" I'm truly stumped. TIA! |

In the brief time that I looked at that file, it is apparent the file was not constructed with STYLES. I applied styles to the first two pages and the issue in question disappeared. (I could not find what was causing it..so, I applied styles). You may want to visit:
Understanding styles | ShaunaKelly.com or Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word and review...it can only help you. In the interim, I am attaching your file with the styles applied for the first 2 pages. (I just applied any styles without thinking...you may want to apply what is handy for your work). |

Thanks Jim!!!
That's the clue I needed. This doc originally came from an OCR conversion. I read about styles and reset it to normal and then put the outline back in and the problem is fixed. I really appreciate the help. Bill |
