Hi dbirley,

It doesn't matter which Word version you're using, these settings do not travel with the document. There's no guarantee a Word 2003 or earlier user will have the navigation buttons enabled either - or that they'd even have the web toolbar enabled.

On the macro front, I suppose it would be possible to code one to check whether the navigation buttons are enabled and, if not, enable them. Doing that creates other issues, though, such as when we close the document, do we delete the buttons if they weren't enabled beforehand, etc.
