![]() Hi, I am trying to number a document in Word 2016. Page One starts about seven pages in after cover, contents list etc. I have put in a section break after the contents list. I click on where I want the numbering to start 1,2, 3, 4.... and it does it. Except it also numbers the first seven pages 1,2,3,4,5,6,7. Also I want the number format as top of page align right....I set it to that and Word sets it top of page left every time. Can anyone help? Spent hours on this this morning and I am getting very upset. |

Is your page numbering in the header or footer? If so, make sure the "Link to Next" option is off (there is a button located on the footer tab) then retry fixing the numbering.
