Default align text when textbox inserted later

i am writing a book, where, i write paragraphs and then when i want to insert a picture, it goes only under the paragraph. i have many items like this, which causes the book look amateur and boring. i wanted to insert textbox, to the right of the paragraph, so i put the picture there, but when i place that text box, it just comes over the paragraph, and makes that portion invisible, and paragraph text doesnt move. how can i make paragraph text align automatically around that text box, so when i place text box, the paragraph will just align its text so that no paragraph text is left behind.
