Default Help with spell check issue

Hi all,

I have a document that won't show the grammar or red spell check lines on it. I've gone into options, proofing and made sure that it's checked but still nothing.

Anyone able to advise or maybe take a look at the document to see if I'm missing something?

Thanks,
B

What kind of document is it? I could never get the spell check system to work on anything that was generated via Mail Merge.

Look at Mastering the Spelling Checker.

Try Ctrl+A to select all, then Click on the language in your Status Bar at the bottom. That brings up a proofing language dialog. Make sure that the checkbox for "Do not check spelling or grammar" is clear (empty).

Thanks for the replies... Still seems to not bring up the spell check lines... Maybe I can send you the doc to look at? It's a statement template we use.

Cheers,
B

This is a form protected for filling in forms. There is no way to do anything about spelling without unprotecting the form. Once you can unprotect it, you can use special macros to enable spell checking. I've returned your form to you unprotected.

Note that spell checking is working in the form for all but the formfields. That is by design. How to enable the spellchecker in a protected document
