Default Find results not showing immediately

Very often, when I search, in a document, for, say, a word using the Find of Find & Replace, Word, apparently finding an occurence of this word in the document, stops but the word is not shown highlighted in grey as "normally" happens, i.e., the grey shading is not shown, in other words one doesn't see the Find result, as such.

However, if one then clicks the mouse on the document, the gray-shaded Find-result now suddenly appears.

Doubtless to say, this problem is infuriating because it happens far too often.
