Default Troubleshooting when "Word has stopped working" appears

With my Word 2013/Windows 7 I have a rather annoying problem, occurring now more and more often. The message "Word has stopped working" appears and the open Word files turn "a whiter shade of pale".
And what causes this to happen?
Itīs tiny small movements from my side, a typical example is: I try to copy a small png picture, already in the file, using Ctrl+C - or - I try to move a similar, very small, picture, that has the setting "in line with text", drawing it with the mouse. This last move is of course not possible if the picture is 'locked', but does Word really have to crash over such a small event??
Googling the problem hasnīt led me to a solution. I have no problematic adds-on.
Should add that I have performed "repair Word" once, but it did not solve the problem.

I will be grateful for any advice
