Thanks for the reply,
But, the problem is, Word seems to see the footnote numbers as part of the footnote text as well, meaning when I try to shift the alignment, the numbers would go with it. My only idea now would be to manually hit "Tab" for each footnote to position the text as I want them, but that would be incredibly difficult in a long document. Any other ideas would be appreciated! |

If you will, do this: do a fresh document of junk and throw in a couple of footnotes
Now with my suggestions, can you align your footnotes the way you want? This will tell us if the document you are working on has somehow gotten corrupted enough footnoting is NOT working properly, or it in your Word program |
