Page top margin not showing

I open a blank document, and this is what I see. The cursor is right against the top of the screen. This just started today, to my knowledge.

It is not a margin issue -- the margins are set to Normal.

Your suggestions for restoring it to default would be appreciated.

Go to File|Options|Display and check the 'Show whitespace ... ' option.
