Default Is There a Way to Search a Document for Italicized Words?

I have a document I did not create. I am working through it based on a hard copy I have. I am checking for errors such as incorrect paragraph breaks, misspellings, etc.

I have noticed that some random words have been incorrectly italicized. This would take me a long time to look through manually and there's no guarantee I will spot them all.

So is there a way to go throught the document automatically focusing on italicized words? Obviously some of the italicized words are supposed to be so I can't just hit ctrl+A and double click ctrl+I.

Simply specify 'italics' as the find font format in the Find/Replace dialogue (see under More>Format>Font).

Thank you, yes that did it. But I have 200 page document to look through and the box is really in the way. Is there anyway to get a sidebar version of the Find and Replace box like the Find sidebar? Thanks.

You can achieve the same effect by clicking on the Reading Highlight>Highlight All option in the Find dialogue. Do note that, whichever way you do them, Reading Highlights only remain visible until you start editing. Depending on your document's content, you might find it better to actually highlight (temporarily) the italicized content.
