In that case, change the hanging indent size to 6.62cm/2.53in. Quite simple, really.

That said, you might do better to use a two-cell borderless table, with 'Fig. 3.1: A two-dimensional crystal.' in the left cell and the rest of the text in the right cell. That would allow you to adjust each cell's width independently - even to the point of having the left cell's text wrap to the next line if that suits your needs.
