Greetings!
The prototypical ToF (and ToC, etc) entry is along the lines of Figure 5.2 Diagram of an Awesome Car .................. 47 Font features etc are controlled by the Table of Figure style. I am currently working on a document which has lengthy captions (the text of the captions cannot be changed) and I want to format the ToF entries similar to this 5.2 Diagram of an Awesome Car (drive train is is show in red, exhaust in green) ......................... 47 Note that the first line does not go all the way to the end (like it has a right margin set) and the second line (and subsequent) is indented. The page number is at the overall right margin. And to conserve space the "Figure" label is dropped displaying only the number. (An early version of the document done in WordPerfect actually uses this format!) I have tinkered with the insert ToF settings and Table of Figures style with no success. My guess is that I will probably have to automate this somehow with my own VBA which is fine. Am I hitting up against the capabilities of ToF formatting in MS Word? Or is something like the above possible either my manipulating styles and field code or custom VBA? If the latter, anyone know of any example code? Thanks! Don |
