I haven't checked recently. In the past, Word kept as the current date the date on which it was opened. I seldom keep Word open overnight and never use the autocorrect date. I will keep my eye open for that. I suspect the last time I checked this was with Word 2003.

Word for the Mac is usually, these days, behind Word for Windows. (I remember when Word for the Mac was ahead of Word for the PC, especially before Windows.)
