Hi all,
I have been given a challenge which I have not yet found a solution for. I have a document that consists of multiple sections. In the page footer I have to indicate which page of the complete document it is, which is easy enough by using the {Page} and {NumPages} fields. I must also place (in the header) the page position inside the current section. Although the {SectionPages} exists to show the number of pages in the section, there is no field comparable to {Page} that restarts at a section break. I know the reset Page 'trick' that is usable when I don't have to show "{Page} of {NumPages}", but obviously that doesn't help. I have the feeling that by inserting (in a hidden way) the right combination of additional fields I should be able to detect page changes and maintain a SectionPage SEQ field, but so far I haven't found the actual solution. Any advice? Thanks, Rob |
