Word freezes and prevents me from copying and pasting document

Repairing Word is unlikely to affect your addins - unless, perhaps, one of them is the culprit and needs its own repair/reinstall.

They would say that, though, wouldn't they! If you run Word is safe mode and the problem goes away, an addin is almost certainly the problem...
