I have MS Office 2010. When I pull up a file that contains word documents and right click on the document I want to print (without actually opening the file), it will print, but it often causes Word to freeze. When it freezes as a result, Word becomes unusable and requires a total computer restart. I have a business that requires a lot of printing and document use. It is more efficient to not have to open each file and select print.
When frozen, it is a blank screen (often does not even show a blank document) and makes a dinging noise when clicked. Ending the task through the task manager will close the window, but it remains frozen when trying to open it again. This does not happen when actually opening the document and printing that way. What might be causing this and what may be a solution? Thanks! |

Have you tried repairing the Office installation (via Start > Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features > Microsoft Office (version) > Change > Repair)?

This works temporarily. The office has had multiple computer guys come out to try to fix it. It will be working for awhile, then you go to print something and it all freezes up again. It is not even consistent with what documents cause this. We have upgraded to Windows 10 (someone advised that might help), and Office has been completely uninstalled and reinstalled. It all works temporarily. No one has been able to figure it out. Any ideas?
