Question Page number begins at 1 when I page a page landscape

I have a document which I formatted with pages 1, 2, 3....
I want to make a page within the document into landscape orientation. But when I do it, the number of the landscape page starts at 1 (the numbering starts at from 1).

I want the numbering to be continuous even when it's landscape.

I clicked on "Continuous" under "Section Start" (not sure if this is had anything to do with it) but it does not work.

Access the header/footer containing your page numbers in the landscape Section, then choose Page Number>Format Page Numbers>Continue from previous Section.

This is page numbering as distinguished from continuous sections. The start of a new section (required to switch to/from landscape) can restart page numbering. By default it does not do this. However, it seems that if you already restarted page numbering in the section where you add the section break, it will again restart.

In the new section (the one restarting when you do not want to restart), Insert > Page Number > Format page numbers > Continue from previous section.
You do not need to be inserting page numbers to change the formatting.
