Using wildcards how do I Find and Add to, not replace
I have a doc in Word 2003 & have a Find & Replace dilemma.
The document has many (over 1000) different dates in the format: 15/03/26 15/05/16 14/10/02 I know how to find these using the wildcards: ??/??/?? but I want to leave the dates as they are and add a comma after each date. eg: 15/03/26, 15/05/16, 14/10/02, I don't know what to put in the Replace with field. I tried ??/??/??, but of course it changed each date to ??/??/??, Any help appreciated.. Thanks. |

Simply input your Replace expression as:
^&,

^& is a standard Replace expression that tells Word to include the found text in the replacement. It's what gets inserted if your have the insertion point in the Replace box then click More>Special>Find What Text.
PS: ^ has nothing to do with "what's above" - it's an escape code that can also occur in Find expressions.
