Default Mini Translator couldn't translate: es,reconocida,necesita,opiniones,algunas,dijo.....

Office 2016 Word (I tried both 32 and 64) Windows 8.1
Mini Translator is not very functional when translating single words.
I bought Office 2016 Home and Student mainly for the Mini Translator (cursor hover translation capability) and the 'side by side' view. I wanted to read Spanish books in Word on my PC and be able to put the English book 'side by side' with the Spanish book. It takes some Word capabilities to line up the paragraphs in order to compare the languages. The translations aren't literal word for word which is why I wanted Mini Translator.

If Mini Translator worked(single word translation) it would be a very convenient way to study Spanish. You don't have to click anything. Just hover over the word, while reading, for a temporary translation then move the cursor away and it disappears.
However, if the verb is in a conjugated form(which is 99% of the time) or if the word is plural then this pops up:

"We couldn't find what you were looking for"

There are endless examples besides the ones I listed in the title. The 'Expand' button doesn't help. I shouldn't have to click any buttons for basic words. I installed the 'Language Accessory Pack for Office 2016' but it didn't help. I also downloaded the 'Translator' app from the Office Store. It translates single words better than Mini Translator even though they both use 'Microsoft Translator'. With the app you have to select the word by double clicking or dragging the cursor and you have to either X out the intrusive pop up box or move it out of the way.

What can I do to get a functional hover translation capability?
