"the 'Don't balance columns at the start of continuous Sections' option."

yeah, I don't actually see that option anywhere. Assuming it's supposed to be under File/Options/Advanced/Compatibility, there's nothing under there. no options, nothing.

filing this under 'it really shouldn't be this hard'
