Hi,
got a very frustrating issue with a work's laptop (HPElitebook 840)
when opening several docs, sometimes Word will just suddenly stop opening - i can open several, then when i try another i'll get the icon in my task bar but when i hover over it the preview thumbnail is just a blank blue window. sometimes closing and retrying works, but just now i've tried about 8 times and left it a minute or two to see if it sorted. it didn't. after killing things in Task Manager it worked ok for a bit, then failed to open another doc again and took two retries this time.
any ideas what's going on and how to sort it?

Since this is a corporate machine, I suggest you take it to the IT support staff to sort out. The issue may relate to document corruption, a faulty Office installation and/or an errant third-party addin.
