The printer (HP Officejet Pro 8620) is less than 6 months old and has worked perfectly but recently it has started to only print only the header and none of the main body text or footer on established Word documents. If we create a brand new Word (2003 software) document, it will print without any problems, however if we 'select all' and copy the text from the troublesome document, and copy into a new document the same thing happens again ie only printing the header.
If we convert the document into pdf format, it will print perfectly. The original template was set up in Word 97-2003 and originally printed fine with this printer but has developed recently. |

I have the same printer and do not believe that the printer is the problem. I expect that it is how you are printing and perhaps what is in your headers and footers.
Assuming this is your default printer, what happens if you press Ctrl+P and then Enter? |

This is the default printer and when I press Ctrl + P and then Enter, it starts to print the document, last page first and prints half a page (header and body text) and then throws the page out half way through a line of text. Doesn't print any more of the 20 page document.
Can't find anything in the print manager to say that it's got the remaining 19 pages to print. I'm pretty conversant with Word but this has got me... ![]() |
