hello
i am a newbie here. how can I use macrons on 2008 or 2015 Word? I used to insert a symbol by going to insert, then symbol, and the macrons i wanted to use were there in the chart. Maybe that was before I had a Mac and used my PC. I can't recall. but i am on Macbook Pro and want to type Romaji - Japanese sounds in English using American English letters. So, for example, I want to put a dash over a vowel to indicate a long vowel sound. Like a long O (as in doughnut.) To do this in Romaji, i need a dash over the O. How can I do this in Word using my mac. There is no symbol that does it. thank you so much. I need the help quickly if you can. |

got it figured. just change the primary language to Maori. it let's you type english and have the ō just like I needed.
amazing. to type the long vowel in a Japanese word, you have to set your primary language choice on a mac to Maori. that way you can read it in English. say what? or, I mean, sāy what? |
