I received an .docx document from email. I can't open it

Any idea how to resolve that?

Detach the file to a folder on your computer and try double-clicking it there.

If that fails, you can then open Word and choose File > Open and try that. If that fails, does the same also fail if you choose to open when specifying a file type of "recover text from any file"?

OK I succeed now

As you mentioned, I tried to open the document from the file instead from the browser. When I clicked on the file, Word did start but report an error and asked to execute a repair.

After the repair (done automatically), I tried again and the file was open properly
