How to set table column widths exact

I want to set table column widths to inches I know ahead of time.

But when I change a width, the a lot of the table gets altered.
How do I set column widths?

You can make your settings via the "Table Properties" menu. To get that menu, hoover over the table then right-click; then scroll down to the Table Properties.
