![]() Hi, I want to know if there is a better way to block specific parts of a word document in order to let people write in the parts of the document i want them to write and block parts of the document where i don't want them neither to delete or write over. The way i have been doing this at the moment its by making the text of my document "rich text" and modifying the proprieties to make the rich text undeletable and uneditable, but this way takes much time because of the high amount of tables in my documents. Thanks in advance and i hope there is a better way to do this. |

Use the Developer Tab's Restrict Editing button. Put exceptions for the places you want people to be able to edit.

Using that tool i can choose who can edit the document by the person Username of his PC\e-mail? If it is by email, how do i link my e-mail to my word document? Thanks in advance. |

Sorry, I am not real clear myself on how this works. I just generally leave the parts I want them to be able to edit as exceptions for Everyone. I think others that you unblock may have to be users on your computer or network but do not really know.
Once I protect the document anyone can edit the exception parts and only someone with the password can edit the whole thing. |
