![]() I have the document set on Final mode when I save it (and no Track Changes), but when I reopen it is in Final Show Markup mode, with the wide margin on the right and some changes indicated. I want to email the *final* version to people, so how can I save it to get that? |

In track changes on the Reviewing Tab, accept all changes.

You can make a PDF of the document when it is displayed in Final view and then send the PDF.

Thanks to my responders. I've also learned you can go to File/Options/Trust Center/Trust Center Settings/Privacy Options, then uncheck Make hidden markup visible when opening or saving. It's incredibly stupid that you have to do any of these things, but then I find 2010 incredibly user-unfriendly. You should not have to be a techno whizz to use a word processing program.

Note that the "Make hidden markup visible..." option is a privacy setting to prevent you from inadvertently sending a file with markup to someone else.
If you clear the "Make hidden markup visible..." option, you get a bit more control over how markup displays on your system. However, changing the option only applies to your system. What other users see depends on the settings on their computers.
