Footer displays in different sections

I'm sorry, but it is not simple. No one here can make it simple. We do not know what you did so it is hard to tell you how to undo it.

Header/Footer Settings Recap

The settings are found in the Header/Footer Tools Tab. This is displayed whenever you are actually in a header or footer.

The setting to link to previous can be different for each header and each footer in each section.

The Different First Page setting applies to both headers and footers and is a section setting. It can be different with each section but applies to both headers and footers.

The Different Even and Odd setting is a document setting.
