![]() Horizontal stripes, otherwise blank, when I try to call up a Word file. The only way to get rid of this page is to Hide Word. Any suggestions? Thanks. |

Hi. Thanks for asking. Just now I turned on the Mac. Went to Word in the tool bar to open a doc and opened a blue and white striped page. The top of the screen says "open." The bottom of the screen says Enable: and in a little window it says "All readable documents." All commands are greyed out except Hide Word and Hide Others. It is essentially locked on this page and not responding.I will get a window that says Word Application is not responding and will have to click it to force quit. I will be unable to Force Quit from the Apple Icon. I will have to start over ( hard boot) to get to my docs.
