See: https://support.office.com/en-US/art...1-d60407d13c35. Presumably Macs are similar, except that you'd use Cmd instead of Ctrl. Alternatively, you can insert the characters via Insert|Symbol.

I can not just copy the diacritic letters from the internet and put them in. I installed CharisSil, which is said of to have the signs/letters, but it doesn't work.
