Saving docx documents in Word 2013

I have a HP All-in-One 64 bit using Windows 7 Home Premium and use Office Professional 2013.

Suddenly when I try to open documents saved as Word docx they do not open with the correct document name and seem to default to a pro number Wd00000x in compatibility mode unless I right click on the document and select Open With and Word (Desktop). I have checked the Default programmes on my PC and reset same and also checked the Save tab in Options but despite these showing my choice of Word 2013 something is overriding my selection.



Can anyone help please?
