Default Track changes Comment boxes: Spacing?

The text in my Comment boxes somehow became double spaced. I can't seem to change it back to single spaced.

I've gone through Format --> Styles --> Comment styles.... but only the text in the Review pane (below main text) changes, not the Comment boxes themselves.

Help please!

I'm not using Word for the Macintosh myself, so I can't give specific advice for those versions, unfortunately.

Generally, what works in WinWord is modifying the settings for the Comment Text and Balloon Text styles.

However, I should also say that most paragraph settings (such as line spacing and spacing before/after) are ignored for the comments in WinWord.

Yes, it's the same in MAC - the paragraph and style settings are ignored for the Comment boxes.

So the question still remains...how would I change the settings for the Comment boxes themselves? Even in WinWord... (I could look around in MS Word for MAC for something similar).

Thanks for your quick response!

Try treating the document as corrupt. To get rid of corruption, try copying document content, except for the final paragraph mark, into a new, blank document.

Very nice... that works in part, except it doesn't maintain my track-changes edits (need to keep those for the client). Thoughts?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that, in order to preserve Track Changes, you should turn it off(!) in both the target and source documents, before copying. See http://shaunakelly.com/word/sharing/...TrackedChanges.
