Showing non-printing formatting marks in Microsoft Word
I don't think you mean "view fields" but... To view field codes you would press Alt+F9. This is a toggle and at some point you would want to toggle the view back to field results. The formatting of the first paragraph on the second page may include page break before. This would be found by right-clicking in that paragraph then choosing "Paragraph" and checking that setting.. |

Thanks to all of you for your help. If the manual page break symbol is a triangle pointing southeast (and the toggle is shown by the triangle pointing to east), I found it. And when I clicked the southeasterly-pointed triangle, the text on the next page moved up to where I wanted it to. Your respose was a nice welcome to this forum.

I'm not sure what you mean by the southeast triangle, but if you click the ¶ symbol on the home tab you will see the formatting marks such as paragraph symbols and page breaks. The page breaks have the words "Page Break", although in some cases you won't be able to read it due to graphics covering it and other considerations. However, usually you will see a horizontal dotted line that helps reveal page and section breaks even if you can't see the words.
Anyhow, glad to hear you got it sorted out. |
