Thank you for your help

Oh yeah, was headings I was talking about. Didn't know about the Styles pane, and that was exactly what I was looking for.

As also shown in the second screenshot I don't have the Navigation pane-button. Can you give an explanation to why this isn't found? And maybe how to solve it It is a bit better than Document view that i currently use I think, and a lot better than the Minitures which shows the pages in minitures. The Minitures are at default when I start Word so I'll have to switch it manually to Document view every day.

Navigation Pane is the term used in the most recent version of Word. Dokumentoversigt (Document Map in English) is the corresponding term in Word 2007.

To prevent the page from showing miniatures, try increasing the zoom. You can use the slider on the bottom right of the document window.

Hi again

Sorry the long time for at reply to your helping answers.

Didn't work by using the zoom function. However, I can switch from minitures to Document Map by one click.

Do you know if / how to change to Document Map by default for this and new documents?

I realize now that "miniatyrer" is the option that is called "thumbnails" in English versions of Word. Word 2007 offers a check box for the Document Map and one for Thumbnails, while recent versions have both options in the Navigation pane.

Assuming that you selected the "Document Map" option, it should be enabled even after you close and reopen Word. I don't know of a situation where Word would force the display of thumbnails instead. I can imagine that it would happen in a document that has no heading styles applied to text, but I haven't been able to reproduce that.
