List view in My Templates screen

We use dozens of form letters in Word 2010, and the names of the templates need to be pretty long to identify them correctly. This means that when a user clicks on New->My Templates, the template names are truncated in the icon view. Is there any way to set the default view in the New pop-up screen to 'List' or 'Details' rather than 'Icon'?
