Default Word 2013 "trying to recover your information" when I close it

My Word 2013 has suddenly started giving a message "Microsoft Word is trying to recover your information" when I close it. Sometimes it even reopens by itself

I tried a repair - no change.
I then completely uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2013 and it is still doing it.

In the Trust Center I have disabled all application addins, stopped any apps from opening. Excel and PowerPoint don't do it.

HELP - it's driving me mad.
