Hi, as i started taking notes of the lesson at university on word i immediatly noticed that i wanted to do something but i don't know how:
If you see the attachments you can see a word file and on the right side a orange line that i added with paint. All i want to do is taking note on the left side of the line, and i want that when i press TAB the pc automatically continues to take note on that part of the paper without returning on the left side as it does now. I think that is something simple to do, maybe it involves tabulation (that's why i chose this title for the topic, but maybe i'm wrong) but even thought i searched i didn't manage to find a solution. Anyone can help me? ![]() |

You might consider to do that in the form of a 2-column table. After your entry in the left-hand column and you tab to the right-hand column you can enter text in that right-hand column without interfering with the left-hand column.
This link may help you: http://shaunakelly.com/word/concepts/tables.html. |

Yes, there are other methods. It may not be as easy for taking notes during your school lessons but, it can be done. See the attached file.
The one problem that could arise is when your comments on the left-hand side exceed one line (as illustrated in the attached file)...that would interfere with your original concept. Hope this helps. |

I can only point you in the right direction. Charles Kenyon has some excellent links with illustrations, one of which is at http://www.addbalance.com/usersguide...tting.htm#Tabs that should help you greatly.
